In an effort to meet the ever growing demand for mobile gaming, Verizon Wireless has announced ‘GameTanium’ a new game subscription app for Android users on their Smartphones and Tablets. Here are the details.
Exent’s GameTanium is available now for both smartphones and tablets and is exclusive to Verizon customers. GameTanium provides “unlimited access to more than 100 of the best Android smartphone games and more than 50 tablet games, including hits like Doodle God™, Fruit Ninja and World of Goo for the low monthly fee of $5.99 per device” according to a press-release sent out by Verizon.
Verizon is featuring a striking deal, selling a standalone Xbox Series S with a free second controller option only for $299.99.

Wanted to get one for the niece and nephew for Christmas, along with Gamepass for a year.
My brother isn't too big on videogames, but they really want something new to play. Been handing down older consoles since they were toddlers.

Giving away 10 games. For a limited time, and then went on to offer horizon zero dawn free too! Ps5 has been literally the CHEAPEST console I've owned due to all this value added in.
(I pay basic ps+ at £36 brought on sale. Could be £50, if you just pay RRP from the store but I always search Google shopping for deals… never paid close to £70 for a game either, got to be joking at that price)

The PlayStation 5 has found an unexpectedly new retailer to be sold at: major mobile carrier Verizon.
Some exec at Verizon saw an easy way to increase their "accessory" attach rate numbers.
Honestly, I think they are just using it to increase traffic to their store. I mean it is the most sought after product around. Honestly, they don't even need to have any stock (spoler: they don't have any stock). Simply having the listing will increase traffic.

@Crazyglues. Businesses want money. The PS5 is an in-demand product which for three years at least has no risk of there being unwanted stock. It's compatible with the company's brand so it's a logical decision.
More than likely this is going to be a Fios Internet agreement. All the phone companies are starting to care more about Internet than phones. The market is too saturated and accessory sales aren't nearly enough of an impact for something like this.
To be honest I don't know why they haven't tried this sooner. Consoles sell 50 - 100+ million units. Even if they get 5% of that, that's 2.5m / 5m internet subscribers added to them for 2 years.
In the UK for many years the phone networks have offered free consoles, PlayStation and Xbox, as an incentive to choose their phone package deals. Often it's teens, twenties, thirty-something buying a quality new phone so throwing in a desirable console has been a sweetener to make them choose their store.
guess they're hoping you'll grab a shiny new $1400 phone alongside that nice new, $500 console. Or, knowing Verizon they'll force you to buy a new phone to unlock access to buy a PS5 lol...

It might be weird to you, but this is a common practice in the MENA region. Communications companies sell consoles as 'official partners' of console manufacturers. They are scalpers, however, always selling above MSRP. The 'official retail price' is currently $1,000 for the PS5.
So if it’s still almost impossible to supply enough PlayStations for sale. How is it Verizon’s getting a stash of them?
Because the distribution team reapportioned some to Verizon. Standard stuff, which doesn't imply any change in PS5 availablity, sadly.
At least those with their finger on the pulse might have a better chance of grabbing one, as not many would assume Verizon would be a likely source.
So they can make it harder to get PS5s at regular retail. Apparently, it is not supplied constrained enough. /s

I find it unbelievable you still cant buy ps5 without husle. I bought mine week after release 800e from some1 lucky. Been checking online stores lately and every store is out and not lookint good for the future either. This gen playstation may never end up in physical stores. You have to order it online and wait for an enternity.
Yeah likely not until well until 2023 will you be able to actually go into a store and buy one. I’m really hoping the devs extend this generation because covid issues have majorly impacted the potential of what PS5 and it’s games could have been from the start. Cross gen gaming would have been a little less important to game companies if these consoles were more easily accessible.
