didn't they say that this was supposed to be the only game?

Abash5059d ago

Well a Kid Icarus: Uprising sequel is now even more unlikely :(

victorGma215059d ago

Project Sora was just the codename for the game.

I wonder why they are doing it if the game was successful.

Lavalamp5059d ago

Project Iwata seemed to have had other plans for the team, hinting at putting them on the Smash Bros project.

I am very disappointed in Nintendo right now.

live2play5059d ago

why?
sora ltd is still going strong

project sora was made to work on kid icarus

but the game is out now...
do i need to explain further?

UnitSmiley5059d ago

Damn, Kid Icarus was really well made, I even played a few multiplayer matches today. It's a shame I was hoping for more of the great quality.

AWBrawler5059d ago

it's still Sukarai's game. These aren't the same mario or zelda teams, but we get more of those

modesign5059d ago

nintendo is bellying up faster than sony, the wiiu will just barely make or horrifically break nintendo.

Hicken5059d ago

... what the hell are you talking about?

DrRobotnik5059d ago

......Just smile and nod.

live2play5059d ago

sora ltd is still in existence...

project sora was made SPECIFICALLY for kid icarus uprising
the game is finished so....

yabhero5059d ago

Please tell that to the 15 billion they have in the bank... Enough to take huge losses like last years for 30+ years.

How Nintendo Could Utilize NFC for Smash Bros.

A few days ago, it was confirmed that Super Smash Bros. for Wii U would utilize NFC (Near Field Communication) figurines. This leads me to wonder how these figures could actually be used in a game like Smash Bros. I don’t think they’ll be used to unlock characters. That would take a lot of fun out of it, and it would make fans very unhappy to have to pay for something that should come with the game anyway. I can however, see it being used for DLC like special alternate costumes and moves since we’ll be getting customizable movesets this time around.

This will be awesome I think. Imagine if you could buy the Mario figurine and it not only unlocks a few costumes like Racoon Mario and Fire Mario, but adds a unique level, and allows for save data to be brought to a friends system. If it were just to unlock a cotume that would suck and I think people would overlook them.
Or have new characters that were not in the original game complete with costumes, move sets, a level to match that character et. al.
The only thing is that if these figurines can be used between multiple games, will every figurine be compatible with every game? I doubt it, which could end up with people buying figurines that they can't even use in that new game they bought it for.

Why would anyone want to pay more to play a game?

Should Pit have returned on Wii U?

When the 3DS was initially unveiled at E3 2010, Nintendo led the system out with Kid Icarus: Uprising as its flagship game, heralding the return of Pit for the first time in 2 decades. However the game failed to see the 3DS's launch, arguably costing the system big sales, and has only recently been released, a full year after its planned release. So with the game so late and no longer leading the 3DS, should Nintendo have moved development on this impressive game to Wii U?

No, 3DS was a nice spot to revive the series. But the next Kid Icarus game should definitely be on Wii U

christheredhead5157d ago

Exactly. I'm sure we'll probably see a Kid Icarus game on WiiU at some point in time. Its highly unlikely they would release one 3ds game and then shelve the character again. I wouldn't be surprised even if we saw a sequel on the 3ds.

PopRocks3595156d ago

A Kid Icarus game on Wii U would be nice. But since the thing isn't even out yet, the 3DS was a great outlet to revive the franchise.

Redempteur5156d ago

No , it's best to make a 3ds game now and another wii U title later ... that would be a good way to push this franchise.

2EHO5156d ago

Who said he won't be on Wii U??

Indigo1235156d ago

the 3ds was a fine system to put it on
