This was a great interview! He seems like a very cool guy. :)

I would like to see this move into a stand-alone project. I will throw money at this guy if that happens.

This game/mod has a lot of potential. However the first thing that needs addressing is the Zombies' movements and animations. Zombies just walk through barricades and closed doors like there not even there which really ruins the experience especially when their first attack on you breaks your legs.

Also when the zombies are running towards you they zigzag all over the place, teleport and change directions in a split second which makes them extremely difficult to shoot and causes you to waste ammo.

Everything else is ok at the moment but the zombies really need some tweaking on how they traverse the map.

I don't know if they're primarily working on fixing the animations, but I do know that they're especially working to clean up the server code so that the game runs smoother when they implement additional changes in the future, so that's a plus.

DayZ Frostline DLC Gets Review Bombed; Dev Says “No One is Forcing Players to Buy It”

DayZ Frostline DLC gets review-bombed for its price and content. Dev responds, saying "No one is forcing players to buy it."

diana45peters518d ago

Yes, I saw that! The DayZ Frostline DLC has indeed faced a lot of backlash from players who feel that the $26.99 price tag is too high for what's included. The DLC adds a new snow-covered map called Sakhal, but many players feel it doesn't offer enough new content to justify the cost.

Bohemia Interactive's CEO, Marek Spanel, responded to the criticism by pointing out that the studio has received very little revenue per hour of gameplay from the game over the years. He even referenced the Beatles song "Please Please Me" in his response, highlighting the frustration with the situation.

It's definitely a heated debate.
