This game was looking pretty good and interesting with the whole Nectar thing but all of these delays are worrisome.

I doubt this game will do anything against Killzone2 and Resistance2.

If they dont push it out soon, they are going to get slaughtered. feb-march is the right time.

If n00bisoft has anything to do with this game it'll suck. I liked them before, but after 100 Splinter Cell's and AC that just sucked balls, they went down the gutter.

It's a PS3 exclusive. I suspect this is due to the backlash received from recent games that had framerate/technical issues. The game has a lot of hype too so they need more time to meet it.

I woke up this morning and the first thing I said to myself was "Haze is going to be delayed", Strange.

All the games that were delayed till 2008 will interfere with other games slated for the same time periods. I gotta say it will only hurt sales.
As much as Devs want their games to come out they never want to release it with another big game. Sorta like the Halo effect and the same that will happen with Gears of War 2, or Metal Gear 4, GTA4 and Final Fantasy 13. These games will steal anyones "Thuunder".

On another note, anybody here really thinks this game will stay Exclusive to Sony PS3? I mean seriously? I bet you the 360 game would of been out by now. Something must be up.

Not that I care much about this game, but I won't play "FPS" with PS controllers. Just as I don't buy "fighters" with the 360's. So I'll play the PS3 DEMO or something and see what's up. That's about it.

P.S. - I would like to play my games the day before tomorrow.

They gotta stop throwing out arbitrary dates. It's really beginning to kill off the anticipation they had rolling. Can't keep disappointing your potential fanbase and expect them all to hang around.

Do it like Rockstar did. Announce a nearly full year delay. It might piss off a lot of people, but it's better than repeatedly pissing off a lot of people with more and more wrong release dates.

I am surprised by the aggressive response by everybody here. Yes it sucks that it will be delayed, but then, everybody would bash into the ground if it came out and was any less than what it has been portrayed as in the hype - a perfect and innovative game. Hype is a double edged sword; it's great to draw attention to the game, but if it comes out and is only a 7/10, you get massacred by the press and fans.

And if this game does turn out to be a 10, I don't believe anyone on this page that says they won't buy it out of protest!

There is no official announcement from Ubisoft on this title at all.
It simply expected to make revenue from this title within 2008 fiscal year...

If your game comes out at the end of march, then the bulk of your earnings for it WOULD come in the finacial year that starts in April?

Unless there is a statement from Ubi saying it's delayed I'm rather afraid all you people have been suckered into yet more dodgy news stories invented by sites wishing to get 'hits'.

Its a bit like thinking splinter cell is coming to the Ps3 because of a game store typo... its not news, and its not clever to beleive it!

from reading all the comments (at least the ones that make sense), HAZE doesn't really stand a chance if it were to be released any time in mid-March to December. So my advice to Free Rad. is to either release it in mid-Feb. to mid-March or just put it on the 2009 list of exclusives for PS3. That way many PS3 fans who preordered HAZE might reconsider and buy it.

Since it is a new IP, I'm gonna still wait for the review scores no matter when it comes out.

Although their might be a small appropiate time slot in the summer to release HAZE. idk. :(

EDIT: Wasn't the whole reason to drop the PC/360 versions to of HAZE to just give PS3 "some love," since there weren't many good exclusive shooters for the PS3 back in Fall? I hope that Free Rad isn't considering to make HAZE a multi-plat game.

I wanted this game to come out and be good or even great, maybe a sleeper hit, whatever. Now after another delay there's really no way the company is going to do well with it, nor will I bother spending 60 bucks on something whose hype has worn off. There are way too many good titles this year for a game to be delayed over and over and still expected to have a good showing.
It's a shame really, all the "wait beyond" fanboy crap aside this could have filled an excellent niche between COD4 and Battlefield's release. Socom is on the way and I think that will get a fair bit of attention. A TON of people play that game, Mercenaries is looking strong too.
This type of news only fuels the fanboy wars and hurts us all, because now the devs are left scratching their heads wondering how to recoup their loss on this platform, so they dump out a half dozen so so games for multiplats that really leave no impression on any of us just to make some money.

When they previewed it in early December, and the game was originally designed as a Multiplatform title instead of the PS3 exclusive it would eventually become. I'm guessing they're still tweaking and upgrading certain aspects.

This is still a day one buy for me.

If Haze came out when it was originally scheduled to be released (Fall 07) then it would have got negative reviews, due to the fact that it wouldve been unfinished. So theyve delayed it to improve on the game, but people are saying that the game will suck now.

I dont quite understand this logic; I was under the impression that delays were a benefit to the final product, not a hamper.

timeshift was unveiled to allot of initial interest, then it had some troubles and was delayed for quite a while the end result just wasnt a good game.

I believe new tools are being used to enhance the game. The last time they spoke to the developer he said they were fine tunning the game. I think that any shooter especially Haze with such and in-depth story to it and intuitive but risky gameplay has to be produced better than COD4. To me COD4 is the S@#T. Bring out KZ2 and MGS4 HAZE can come out later on.

There are way too many FPS. I want more 3PS like Uncharted and RE4 its more interesting to look at the character and shoot. Too many FPS with Grunt looking enemies too.

Well tbh, the game did looks rubbish in all aspects and not polished at all. I know its FR but I'm not gonna give them my money unless they make the storyline alot better, the storyline they presented was boring and overdone, it didn't even seem that great. The graphics were like a PS3/360 launch title and the gameplay was FPS 101 like many other FPS's out there.

To me, it looks like an average game with nothing to offer, TS was the high point of FR tbh.

The previews weren't too favorable and knowing how much Free Radical take pride in what they do I think they've asked (and got) more time for development.

Really lost interest in this game. I was looking forward to it but now... im more interested in games that have a realistic time frame that are more likely to meet.

Wow, they are getting awfully close to falling into the time frame of GTA4, MGS4 and other heavy hitters. I think it's a mistake if they can't get it out before April because they will probably get overlooked.

I think this was a strategic delay. I would've delayed it to '09... I mean look at the competition! MGS4, KZ2, Resistance 2, FFXIII(maybe), and LBP. Also Home is coming out in '08(what's the release date, btw?), though it's not competing. I think Sony did this so they can have 2008 and 2009 secured. Though Haze has had one too many delays I think. Maybe Ubi delayed it because they know they will get neglected in sales as all of Sony's babies are coming out. If you had to choose between Resistance 2, KZ2, and Haze... which would you buy? I'm pretty damn sure it wouldn't be Haze unless KZ2 ends up being crap(doubt it, though).

I thought it looked dumb last November, I thought they looked dumb with their abundant use of curse words to try and look cool and I thought they looked even dumber by saying it will kill Halo 3. They can't even develop a game remotely on time. You might care but this game looks as boring now as it did that, it will be mediocre at best.

Or because a few videos look cool, you mind-as-well buy some of the killer games that are known to be amazing by the time this little rental game comes by. Haze broke me. I was such a massive fan of Timesplitters that I didn't believe for one second they could make such a generic, sub-par game. It even had a couple of neat ideas, but nothing that could save it from utter failure.

I learnt a harsh lesson from that game.
