From Pixel Apocalypse...
"Few games have stirred up the kind of controversy amongst it’s audience that Mass Effect 3 did. To be more specific, the games finale had long time fans of the series absolutely losing their collective shit over Bioware’s farewell to Commander Shepard and crew. So much so that, in an effort to appease the angry mob, Bioware has released the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut DLC. A piece of downloadable content designed to give players a broader understanding of the game’s finale, as well as offer them the closure they so badly needed.
The question is did they succeed? More importantly though, what type of precedent does this set for the industry now that AAA developers are willing to re-visit aspects of their game and alter them to the audiences liking?"

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

Based on one narratively fitting ending in Mass Effect 3, Prothean squadmate Javik is highly unlikely to return in the next Mass Effect game.
He was one of my least favorite characters. I wish they would have done the Proths different.
