Mass Effect 3's ending never had a chance to truly click with the gaming community. The Extended Cut downloadable content might take away from the meaning of the game's original ending.

One of the best things about the Mas Effect series is the companions you meet along the way. So here is a tier list of all the companions from Mass Effect!
To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

Based on one narratively fitting ending in Mass Effect 3, Prothean squadmate Javik is highly unlikely to return in the next Mass Effect game.
He was one of my least favorite characters. I wish they would have done the Proths different.

Really? How can the IT supporters be so happy with Mass Effect 3 because that is the ending they think they got? You are happy you were given a game that didn't have an ending? The theory basically states everything after the beam is a dream. In which case the ending never happens. In which case you have to wait for a fourth game to end the trilogy(huh?) or dlc to end the game. I mean that isn't ingenious. That isn't clever. That isn't revolutionary. That is a jerk move.
I mean if that is the case you have to hope they apologize for sending out an incomplete game and offer the "real ending" dlc for free. However as has been shown they will never apologize, they won't give out free meaningful dlc, and you figure they are smart enough to not come out and say, "Yeah IT is correct, we purposely made an incomplete game to charge you for the rest later because we are that awesome a company."
My goodness. They have to make another one now that is post ME3 to wash the bitter taste out. I thought they would have made a cliffhanger ending in which u could take it as a defeat or a possible future. Then they could decide if they wanted another game. Now they have to so that everyone can appreciate Me for what it is.
... no. Just... no.
ME3's ending was NOT ingenious. On some levels, it may have potentially been clever, but it was NOT ingenious.
Man, people are still defending Bioware on this? How deluded can they be?
