Take-Two Interactive revealed it is pausing development on its Nintendo Switch 2 edition of "Borderlands 4" in its latest quarterly earnings.

O'Dell Harmon Jr. writes: "Before we say goodbye to 2025, let’s take a look back and see what were the most downloaded games of the year. It was a great time for sports, shooters, and some new PlayStation VR2 games. Sports favorites topped the charts in US/Canada and EU, with NBA 2K26 and EA Sports FC26, respectively.
Juggernaut GTA V found a home in the top three for both regions, with new 2025 release Battlefield 6 claiming second place in the US. Fortnite took top place for free-to-play games, and Beat Saber continues its PS VR2 success."
It’s funny to watch the only games EU and USA agree on was Minecraft and back ops 7 both regions on 6 and 7 spot respectively other than that FIFA rules EU
I would like to see a list that has both free to play and paid games together, but at least we have this.
To this day GTA5 is a top downloaded game and it makes me wonder if the industry is really ready for GTA6. I imagine almost nothing else will sell during that game's release window.

Another night of Fortnite with the boys then?
I’ve never played Fortnite GTAV or CoD BO7 but I do own GTAV for PS4/5 because I got them cheap.
i think we should either take those games out, or make a singleplayer list too ha
Police need to be more hardcore, but I will go to the strip club to see girls because I don't want a relationship within GTA.
I agree. I didnt like having a girlfriend in GTA IV and mostly ignored any girlfriend Nico got.
If you want all that then play "The Sims 3"..
"We’ve played Skyrim for well over 500 hours and enjoyed buying a house and getting married, but this doesn’t belong in GTA V in our opinion, and we cant quite understand what some gamers are thinking when they want this level of reality within Grand Theft Auto. It’s fair to say that the type of gangster you see in this game could have a family, but most people are not going to want this experience within the next game, how could it be fun to have Skyrim-level relationships in GTA 5?" As an option, I can deal with that; however it's going to be very disappointing to be "forced" into some type of relationship unless its directly tied into the story AND it can lead to multiple endings. GTA games were more about having fun and doing silly missions/quirks, however 4 was a start in a different direction - whether positive or negative is up to the person playing.
I don't mind the relationship part as long as it's not forced. Like her callin every 5 minutes. I think it fits well within the universe since its like a living breathing world. I rather them just take small steps on each game rather than going from dating to having a wife and kids. Just add something new each game and have the players evolve as the game does. Just my 2 cents....
