Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Review (GameXplain)

GameXplain: "The entire Metal Gear franchise has come a long way since the good old sprite days. From the instant that you throw yourself into the series, no matter what the game, you will encounter some level of “weird shit” that only Hideo Kojima can bring. At a given time, you’ll be dropped into a 45 minute cut scene, and even if you follow the series closely, you probably won’t get it. If you do understand it, then congratulations; you’ve achieved a level of insanity that few on this earth will admit to! Somehow, if you manage to survive all of the dialogue, you’ll find an oddly challenging game of hide and seek that has rewarded fans for decades."

Should I get this if I didn't like MGS2?

MGS2 being the worst of the bunch is still better than most games currently. I'm surprised at how well it holds up. Hats off to Kojima. So much attention to detail, and I'm constantly impressed by the versatility of gameplay. Not even on MGS3 yet and I'm loving it. It just makes me sad that they don't make games like this anymore.

best HD collection ever :)

The PS3 version is better but this is the best HD collection on a portable. The 3DS version is shameful in comparison to the Vita one.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection - Preparing for Snake Eater Remake

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection launched in 2011, and is still the best way to play Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater ahead of the remake.

Can’t wait to one day break that game out of the collection vault

Currently playing Snake Eater HD on CRT 16:9, via Scart RGB. Game looks great but not as clean as MGS2, but thats due to the setting. Can't wait for the remake + the next HD collection on PS5.

It's Konami. Expect nothing.

Konami's too busy with their Pachinko machines to worry over silly little things like this.
