Most of the time, these screens and small scenes are just a simple little throwaway deal that is ignored as a gamer simply tries again. Occasionally however, there will be something about the Game Over that gives pause. Maybe an entire alternate ending where the heroes fail is played or something very entertaining happens that you can’t help but laugh at, but for one reason or another, attention is given. To celebrate these games that put effort into what happens when we lose, I’m counting down the top 10 “Game Overs” in gaming.

Both Rare classics will feature widescreen and twin-stick support.
Surprised to see so little activity when it comes to evercade news... its been a great retro platform. I know its emulation, but they still believe in physical media. I'm hoping they will do something special with the Doom release later this year.

Capcom has removed the recently added Enigma DRM from the PC version of its survival horror game, Resident Evil 4 remake.
The latest update for Capcom's Resident Evil 4 remake has replaced Denuvo with Enigma DRM, lowering in-game performance.
Once again hurting the people who purchase and support the game. Meanwhile pirates get the best version. Pathetic.
I wonder if the pirated copies run better like this one titled here: "Resident Evil 4: Remake - Gold Edition (No Denuvo) (v1.5.0.0 + All DLCs + Bonus Content + MULTi14) (From 50 GB)"
A perfectly acceptable excuse to pirate the game.
Why would you accept to pay for the game in order for it to install software you don’t want with the intention to make your playing experience worse. Paying for that would be the very definition of stupid.
I’m not against DRM but if it negatively effects a product you’re paying for. Then it’s on them not you.
Man, the Banjo Kazooie game-over screen scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. Seeing your sister turned into a hideous monster (made scarier by the crappy N64 graphics) that wants to kill you was a great incentive to avoid losing.
The game over screens in Metroid Prime 2 are still by far my favourite, simply because humanize of how they humanize Samus.
I can't even approve this article, stupid error page...
How about that Andross at the Star Fox game over screen? That scared me as a kid...
What about the Super Mario 64 Gamer Over?
