Its just a few extra cutscenes and nothing more. Its not true DLC for SP like Lair of the Shadow Broker and etc.

Bioware already said that months ago. They never said it was going to be playable with quests, etc - just some closure on what happened to the other characters.

And for a few extra cutscenes to be 1.9GB big, I'm expecting a lot out of this extended ending.

All I hoped for was for the plot holes to be explained and for there to actually be closure. It looks like that's what this extended ending is so I'm still hopeful that it will make the ending more conclusive.

So basicaly they are still keeping the plot hole filled ending and are going to try and explain the un explainable plotholes....theres so many that this is just going to come off as silly

You can't polish a turd Bioware

They better of went with the indocuration theory but then again if the DLC is just cutscenes I guess we'll have to watch Shepard finish the fight instead of actually playing it

Either way I feel like they've still messed up here.

ME3 is a awesome game but that damn ending!!! RAGEEEEEE!!!!! Bioware should have made many different endings, not just copy and past with a few differences, so hopefully we get what we want. Please Bioware don't let us down.

I wish shephard had one more adventure left :[, Lazarus project 2.0 100 years later anyone ? ..lol ... or not idk I just want more ME. maybe not even with shephard just give me a bigger awesomer ME! ... or a new KOTOR

Seriously Bioware could you have sat on it another week so all regions can play it at the same time. The ending will be dissected and spread over the internet before I even get to play it.

Looking forward to seeing what changes/additions they've made to ME3, been waiting to play through the single player again when some more DLC missions/additional characters are released but I guess I can settle with this for now.

No doubt the internet will explode the day after the extended ending is released regardless of what they've done.

I wonder if the extended ending will be 1.5 hours long like some Japanese games.

Maybe Bioware real strategy is put the ME fans to sleep before the ending cutscenes are over. That way the fans never saw what happened in the final minute.

I for one loved ME3. It still stands out as an example of the industry. Having been a huge fan of the games, I can see where some would be upset and that everyone essentially got the same ending no matter the decisions. With that said, I still love it and am looking forward to some additional scenes to answer some questions I have. I hope they agree with the indoctrination theory because its amazing...

If you beat the game, I -think- this is the save game that is reloaded after you beat the game, where it sticks you on the Normandy right before the 'point of no return' that's in every ME game.

Been a while. Any clarification would be appreciated in that regard. That's still a sizeable chunk to replay, especially if I have to level up some charachters again to prep for the s#&*storm on earth to fight through. On the positive it implies that there are possibly scenes added not only in the final cutscenes but between the gameplay leading up to it, like an expansion on what happened b4 the lame @ss Marauder Shields final boss, lol. Harbinger?

Looking forward to it. What I'd really like is more variety in multiplayer: different enemies, more game modes, more objectives during that survival, etc.

In the podcast that accompanied this announcement, Hudson says they were limited to 2gb because of the Xbox download limit. Thanks, Microsoft.

Looking forward to seeing what they thought the problems were and how they attempted to clarify, but I can't help but think this is like putting a Band-Aid on a tumor.

Wow lol, they actually said that? Funny how the paid service is always the most draconian when it comes to these things. "Buh buh buh yoo get wut u pay 4" yeah no shut up.

As to the actual DLC, this will determine if I keep the game for posterity/replayability or sell it to Gamestop for a pack of gum and a bus ticket home. I didn't enjoy investing 100 hours into a storyline that became 'a long time ago in a Matrix far far away' $180 later. Fumble, turnover, you lost the Superbowl BioWare. At least get a good draft pick for next season outta this fiasco.

Mass Effect 3's ending brought it down from an 8.5 out of 10 down to a 8 out of 10.
Well below the quality of ME 9 out of 10 and ME2 9.5 out of 10.

Even with a better ending ME3 is not going to improve. ME3 was rushed, its story was lacking and the game fell away in the final third, side missions added nothing to the game, Multiplayer added very little to the experience.

Back in YE OLDE console times, there were no patches. There were no DLCs. When a game is out, that's it, no fixing it if you messed up, if you did ok, all the better. I miss those days. Now developers extensively use freakin' patches & DLCs to try to fix their own laziness or rush jobs. Not to mention that it's also another way to milk some $$$ by leaving out the game content on purpose, sometimes...

Mass Effect is one of the best video game trilogies in gaming history. Period. It deserves a much better ending than it received. I loved everything about ME3 except the cheap ending that didn't pay anything off. It's up there with terrible creative messes like Matrix Revolutions and the LOST finale. It was a terrible payoff for fans who had invested close to a hundred hours in the series. As many have said, if this was a movie this would have been focus grouped, and 9/10 times that ending would not have been allowed to stand. Let Casey have his Directors Cut of this game, but the rest of the fans are still waiting for a real ending.

I don't have any hope for this too little too late token DLC.

How the hell do you make a bad ending better by making it longer?? The problem WAS the ending, not that it wasn't long enough. Casey Hudson you ruined Mass Effect 3. Shame on you.

It sounds like they're just going to expand on what everyone didn't like in the first place, so I don't see everyone really being satisfied. They'll just come up with a way to explain how all the different races managed to get back to their part of the universe in some asinine fashion and everyone will still be annoyed. I'm really just interested in seeing how they are going to explain Joker high tailing it from Earth, lol.
