yeah thats the only thing im waiting paramount to rejoin BR camp cause im still waiting for transformers to go on blu ray

Paramount wishes they could have had more than those 150 million stinking MSFT dollars!

I wonder if Paramount still get their money.

this is most likely a mistake folks... happens all the time.

4 out of those 5 are also on Blu-ray on the US amazon.com - Anchorman is not.

EDIT: Well, I decided to look a little closer at these. The release date for Failure to Launch was before Paramount went HD-DVD only. The other three on amazon.com don't have release dates given, but somehow there are already USED versions of each available. So, something isn't adding up.

As much as I would like to see Paramount go Blu soon, I don't think this is a sign of that happening.

EDIT 2: After looking at amazon.co.uk, it looks like it gives more information than the .com site. It has release dates in mid to late March and will let you pre-order them. So I may have been wrong in my conclusion in my first edit.

Well I just sent a message to their customer service inquiring about the pre-orders. I asked if this was a mistake or if this means Paramount will no longer be HD-DVD only by March. I will be sure to post any information I get in a response from them later.

Reading the comments, looks like these were all available on BR prior to Paramount going to Hd-DVD. But, that wouldn't explain the "release dates" being listed. However, my question is - perhaps the distributor in Europe is different than in the states.

Studio Canal released many HD-DVD's over in Europe that are BR only in the states. Perhaps it also goes the other way?

Remember Paramount doesn't dist. overseas like it does in the US.

Remember you can get BD titles like Resident Evil 1-2-3 all from different markets for HD DVD, but you can not here. Some HD titles are BD titles in other countries because they are not dist. the same as in the US.

I still wish BD players were region-less like HD is. I hear you can get them(BD players) chipped for all region play, but it's expensive.
