GameInformer Replay: Resident Evil 4

GI writes: Resident Evil is one of the most well-known series in gaming history, and gamers are eagerly anticipating the holiday release of the sixth core entry in the franchise. While it may feel recent, Resident Evil 4 fits within the Replay boundaries by releasing before the current generation of consoles. When it released in 2005, it turned Resident Evil conventions on their head with a new perspective and more of a focus on action. We decided to give it a try seven years later to see how it holds up.

Watch below to see our look back, featuring Tim Turi, Andrew Reiner, myself, and a special appearance by my father Paul Ryckert.

This I can't fully agree with. The game has aged almost 100% well and it's still an amazing game but the controls, although new and exciting for its time, was part of RE5s biggest failure. It's frustrating to shoot when your feet turn to stone. Other than that, this was amazing. so 4.5/5 for me.

I still really wished that they released a "Director's Cut" which would showed the storyline and gave gameplay of Resident Evil 3.5. Knowing that it was originally planned that this may have been Leon's last game and revealing more of the Progenitor's virus origins is a interesting route in my opinion....

wtf, good thing I already played and finished the game when it came out

Once again hurting the people who purchase and support the game. Meanwhile pirates get the best version. Pathetic.

PRIMORDUS110d ago

There is already someone or a group called voices38, that has been cracking Denuvo games lately. Not the newest games, but getting there.

I wonder if the pirated copies run better like this one titled here: "Resident Evil 4: Remake - Gold Edition (No Denuvo) (v1.5.0.0 + All DLCs + Bonus Content + MULTi14) (From 50 GB)"

Furesis110d ago

i don't think so? as far as i know even pirated version have denuvo or whatever runing in the background, they just trick it to say that yes this is a legit copy or just skip that process, but im not 100% sure. regardless this is an endless battle where legit consumer "suffer" sometimes. it's not that big of a deal MOST of the times and i understand publishers not wanting people to get access to their games for FREE so, i cant blame them honestly. i do find it odd that they wouldn't just remove DRM completely considering most people already played it? not like they are getting more sales anymore, just lower the price remove DRM but i guess thats why they still have it because they dont want to lower the price. oh well

A perfectly acceptable excuse to pirate the game.

Why would you accept to pay for the game in order for it to install software you don’t want with the intention to make your playing experience worse. Paying for that would be the very definition of stupid.

I’m not against DRM but if it negatively effects a product you’re paying for. Then it’s on them not you.

You know I would have liked this if it was added on for free. A nice substitute for Assignment Ada.
