Digital Foundry:"Latency also factors into the equation when using any wireless device, and memories of the PSP's heavily buffered Remote Play feature have us hoping for a significantly reduced delay between the higher and lower screens. Fortunately, we're pleased to find that latency here is impossible to pick out without some exacting method of measure. In testing the difference, we find results that completely subvert our expectations here; in instances where gameplay is mirrored between the two, the GamePad screen actually renders the image 116ms before the 50-inch LG screen does."

Xbox boss Asha Sharma has discussed how component shortages will impact the company's plans for Project Helix.
This kind of proves this is an after thought product, most products like this are in r&d 5 years before they start mass producing. So they typically have the cost of components and things worked out long before assembly starts.
This is an assumption still, but I wouldn’t be surprised if project helix is similar to Scalebound, perfect dark and sod3. They had an idea but no actual execution other than concept stage. Being impacted by the ram shortage likely would also put this device 3-4 years out.
I’m not even sure MS has that endurance with Xbox yet
Helix is going to be stupidly expensive
Instead of leaning into smarter upscaling techniques they're brute forcing hardware that will cost them dearly and it remains to be seen if it's genuinely going to provide a meaningful differential
I know in the oc.doace people like to brag about not using frame gen or dlss to get to high on a game but for the majority of players they happily use those technologies without a second thought
That's going to be ps6 vs Helix
It's called systematic inflationary. Yes we get it Microsoft, keep raising in the name ofall kinds of stuffs
Honestly if there was thing I learned from this generation is that new consoles arnt day one anymore.
I can wait 1-3 years.

The name "Hewson" carries a special weight for anyone who grew up during the golden age of British computing. As the son of Andrew Hewson—the man behind legendary publisher Hewson Consultants—Rob Hewson didn't just grow up playing video games; he learned to spell his name from their title screens. However, Rob didn't just rest on his family's 8-bit laurels. From leading major LEGO franchises at TT Games to tackling the high-stakes world of technical porting at Huey Games, Rob has carved out a unique path in an ever-evolving industry. In this candid interview Rob to discussed the burden and beauty of a family legacy, the technical "scar tissue" left by the ambitious Hydrophobia, and why porting a masterpiece like Inscryption to consoles is far more than a simple copy-paste job.
Nintendo is on point. :)
I was quite angry that they didn't even show so much as a pre-rendered trailer for anything Zelda at this E3. Even though they had something Zelda based in that Nintendoland thing, they spent the whole time showing off a spin off of a spin off and walking in circles around the fountain.
I really cannot imagine the possibilities with WiiU. I mean there's a new Smash brothers coming! I just cannot imagine how great it'll look and how much content it'll have.
i decided i will have to buy a wii-u

im sure the great programmers nintendo have are excited as well to be making beautiful looking HD games, and i hope they bring their A game.
Why are Nin games so hard? I'm a TRUE hardcore gamer. I own PS3,360,gaming PC,Wii,DS,Neogeo,Sega Saturn,PS2 and N64. I own and collect over 330+ games last time I counted. I'm 32 years old and have owned almost every system. I never move to a new game into I beat the one i'm playing. I even beat games I don't like because I'm stubborn.
Anyway I have had no trouble beating God of War 1,2,3. Uncharted 1,2,3 on crushing and all the so called hard core games we speak of. Take it from me or try yourself. NIN has BY FAR the hardest difficult games. I just finished Punch out Wii and I will tell you it's harder then hell.
