If you have to ask then yes.

Zuperman5087d ago

Yea, Sony easily won E3.

E3 overall was a major disapointment tho.

fermcr5087d ago

If you ask Sony fanboys, then yes... if you ask everybody else, then no.

Neko_Mega5087d ago

Seeing how Microsoft wasted more time with their Smartglass and less on games (If their was really much of games to talk about).

Yeah I think Sony won it, Nintendo did ok but I wouldn't say they did the best.

Patriots_Pride5087d ago

UBISOFT won E3 and the internet agrees.

E3 is about games and UBI deliverd.

black9115087d ago

So did Sony. Sony is Hardware and games Ubi is just Games so we expect companies like them to deliver games. But Sony Was really the only Company of the Big 3 to deliver on the Games.

yes they were the best of the loosers.
if they'd canned the "Wonderbook - Book of spells" i wouldnt even have considered them one of the loosers.

AtomicGerbil5087d ago

Apart from Wonderbook, I thought it was pretty good. At the end of the day it's down to personal opinion. Some won't have liked it and others would have automatically hated it (you know who you are).

Many people are saying Ubisoft, but the two people hosting Ubisoft's press conference were incredibly awkward...mainly due to the poor script.

In fact, if it weren't for Watch Dogs, their entire conference would have been atrocious! We saw Rayman: Origins...err...Legends, Assassin's Creed III (Which had a better showing at Sony's Press Conference), Zombie U (Which had a better showing at Nintendo's Press Conference), and Watch Dogs...which was awesome.

Sony had The Last of Us, Beyond: Two Souls, PS All-Stars Battle Royale (with cross-play on Vita announced and shown), Assassin's Creed III: Liberation, a new white Vita, gave Plus members TWELVE free games including a few games that are still $40-$50 at retail, and...gave us single-player gameplay of God of War: Ascension.

Microsoft is in the corner spouting off "Better with Kinect"...basically phoning it in until the next Xbox. Nintendo is off in nowhere land, hoping the 3rd party developers save them.

There wasn't even a contest. :)

Looks like PlayStation took a hit with Marathon and is now quietly adjusting prices worldwide to recover the losses

andy8523d ago

Lets be honest raising prices doesn't do that when no one's buying it. I imagine the profit it greater selling 10 times more at a lower price

Pergele22d ago

Whatever you say buddy, let's all wear the tinfoil hats.

IceKoldKilla22d ago (Edited 22d ago )

LMFAO Your comment alone says a lot more about you than anything else. When has one game not selling 10 million copies made a company raise the prices of their console? Then Xbox would be costing $5000 by now lol. You remind of the crazy drug addicts on the street rambling on about conspiracies. xD You sure you don't need a hug, buddy?

ChunkyMonk22d ago

One game that Sony payed $200 million for. lol
Also, you sure were quick to get triggered. Maybe your the one who needs a hug?

If nothing else, we should be united against the real issue here. AI and unnecessary tariffs that are effecting all gamers.

The price increases are due to the RAM demand associated with AI and the US-Iran war. You can look to any business news website and local news to see that. Heck, even the 2026 Asus Zenbook Duo I've been eyeing has faced delays and has had a price increase of $400; that laptop has two specs. Asus is doing a staggered release with per-orders for the lower spec now and shipping in May and pre-orders for the higher spec that I'm eyeing starting in June. Basically, all computer manufactures are affected. It'll most likely start affecting smart phones too if it hasn't already. I can't remember the last time any major console maker (Nintendo, Sony, Sega, etc) increased the price of their console mid cycle outside of Microsoft just to make more profit.

S2Killinit22d ago

Its not the war. Its the RAM issue.

jznrpg22d ago

War is causing gas prices to rise. Transport of everything requires gas so the prices of those items go up as well. So it does have an impact

Athlon10122d ago (Edited 22d ago )

The blockage of the Straight of Hormuz due to the US-Iran war has affected raw components used in semi-conductor manufacturing such as bromine, aluminum, and helium. Iran had attacked the liquified natural gas (LNG) plant in Qatar which is a large producer (1/3 globally) of helium which is used in semiconductor etching. So it's the both the war and the RAM crises.

badz14922d ago

Oh no...should I get the Pro now before the price increase?

Ex-Naughty Dog Dev: Big Studios Are 'Forced' to Hire Like Factories

Former Naughty Dog artist Gabriel Betancourt explains why the "sweet spot" for game teams is under 200 people and how AAA "factories" kill creativity.

There’s definitely some truth to this. When teams get too large, coordination starts to outweigh creativity—layers of approval, risk aversion, and tight deadlines can turn bold ideas into “safe” ones. Keeping a team under ~200 people sounds ideal for maintaining clear communication and a shared vision. That said, massive AAA projects also come with huge technical demands and expectations, so scaling up isn’t always avoidable. The real challenge is figuring out how to keep that small-team creativity alive inside big studio structures.

DarXyde29d ago

More than that, it's logistically untenable. Inevitably, when teams get too large, how do you keep tabs on accountability? I suspect this massive team size is a consequence of the perfectionism streak Naughty Dog has.

I wish we could have so many people working on something and it turns out great because I'm all for collaboration in spirit - the problem is too many people as part of the larger team and smaller units. Suppose for example that you have too many people in the art department; you will very often come up against fiercely competing visions for how things should look. That competitive vision will cause friction between team members, team doesn't work as a unit, the back and forth can further delay parts that the other departments are waiting for, etc etc.

A 200-person team says, to me, that we need to scale back game development. Even if it means we go back to PS2 era costs and scale, why not? Those games are still great fun, the budgets were in check, and you could literally break the 200-man team into like 10 20-man teams working on different projects.
