newbreview.com goes back in time to look at Volition's hyper violent Marvel Comics game The Punisher.
Some games you just know are going to stand the test of time, being released and re-released multiple times over the years, or will simply have a legacy that’s built to endure. Meanwhile, there are other games that, for whatever reason, are simply never coming back.
Aye..this is why Emulation is important.
The Punisher was soo damn good. Nailed Garth Ennis take on the character very well. For me still one of the best comic book adaptions ever made.
Where is NOLF!
That they couldn’t find a way to work out the legal stuff to bring it back is one of the greatest tragedies in gaming history.
Def Jam. Great and fun game they will never be re-released. There is just no way to secure all the copyrights for the tracks, voices and likenesses used in this game.

Did anyone order a gory salade with some violence? Bon appétit! Here are some gory and violent games on the PS2.
I've played nearly every game listed in this article. If I remember correctly, I think the Punisher was the bloodiest.

If you've always wanted to be a hero, it's too late. Luckily, you can be on the other side. On the PS2 that is.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see many of these games return on PS+.
I wish they'd re release those ultimate alliance games. I'd buy both of them. I missed them on ps4 unfortunately. If only they'd have released them physically
Is this a list of the best marvel games on PS2 or a list of all the marvel games on PS2?
lol good game i liked the movie as well
Great, great comic book game. One of the best ever. Great comic cover collectibles, great cameos (Black Widow, IronMan). Heck, there's a whole level at Stark Industries where Tony gets involved a bit.
Pretty much the Arkham Asylum of Punisher games, heh. Sadly since it's last gen' it doesn't get brought up anymore.
I'd love for this to be re-released on PSN as a PS2 classic or on XBLA.
I really enjoy the brutality of this game - I think the goofy voice acting takes the edge off of it, preventing it from becoming another Manhunt-style game
