Looks like they took heavy inspiration from the inception scene in the cafe.

I don't care what anyone says, I'm buying this game. I like the new emo Dante, I like his annoying teen attitude. Sure, he might not be likable, but that only makes him feel more real in my book. The overall look is alot more stylish then previous DMC games in my opinion. I think Ninja theory do good combat, it's just a shame the characters feel like they have no weight (especially in heavenly sword). If they can fix that, I'll enjoy this game.

Why are the graphics so crap.

Seriously they could have brought this game with a better engine, better light/dark.

RENT FIRST,CRITICIZE L8TER... no need to just put it off as if its garbage right out the gate, IMO it looks better than when I 1st saw it & it really does have some awesome ideas ( aka white hair kicks in with devil trigger, SUB BOSS was huge and could be a decent challenge on harder difficulties, etc etc)& I'm not gonna say the way he looks is gay or aweful but is it what I'd choose? Not really I think it could've been executed better seeing what direction they wanted to take it but it's by no means as over blown as what half these so called " die hard fans" are claiming... I myself ,dont criticze & put off a game UNTIL I PLAYED IT MYSELF.... LONG LIVE GAMING

This game will be awesome unless Dantes personality is as bad as DMC 3 and 4, Dante from the original DMC had the best personality to fit Dante.

After seeing the demo, I must say that it does looks promising as compared to before. Many of the combat moves are straight from the original DMCs and the combat looks good. However, the graphics aren't what I did expect from a game releasing in 2013. The skin textures from the characters are bland and there is no detail. Similarly the environments are bland and yellowish in tone. But it is possible the later locations may be more varied and inspired. The enemy designs are not very inspired or special either; one of the enemies looks like the robots from I-Robot. They are creepy, distorted and mangled. In past DMCs there were marionettes and puppets in Spaniard costumes, Feline shadows, demons made of sand, spider made of lava, flying demons that can transform into swords, a sexy demoness with bats covering her body and many more. Still I will have to give the game some credit that it does not looks like a complete disaster like before.
