Although I am skeptic. wouldn't it make more sense to show it at Tokyo Game Show as it is being published by SCE Japan

This has been for years my most anticipated game for the Playstation 3, but I am begining to get worried. They lost their top developer and I cannot fathom why after all this time they cannot have a playable demo at E3 2012. This is not looking good.

perhaps they could just make it a launch title for the PLasyattion 4.

I don't mind if they delay until next E3.

It probably wasn't baked enough and can use the extra time to get really really good.

If we do not see The Last Guardian at TGS than i will start to get worried about the status of this potential gem.

You see, they shoul've started something with a smaller ambition. Kinda like ICO. This would make them familiar with the development tool and set up the engine to create a faster more efficient sequel or IP, this is exactly what ND is doing right now.

GT5 also falls away from this mentality, you see the difference between this game and forza is that it had 3 RE-ITERATIONS to REFINE the engine. There is NO single IP that has EVER taken advantage of the system from day one. This is the biggest problem with the Japan based studios. They have to learn not to have that all-or-nothing mentality without trying to consider the long term implications of their studio. First and formost they NEED to make money and unless you are R* or Activision, this is not a good way to develop games no matter how ambitious your games may be.

Ueda already stated he wasn't going to be at E3, so i don't get why this is such a surprise to so many people

this game has to of been cancelled. if a dev is struggling with the dev cycle, sony would of assigned it to another internal studio, sony santa monica would of been a perfect developer for this.

hey guys... I really think that we have to begin to forget about the last guardian, its clear that is a canceled game... not hearing a word from it on this E3 does nothing but confirm my thoughs .......sadly

This is why I don't really like Sony's E3's. They always show teasers of games WAAAAAAAAAY before it's even close to being released. This game was teased 2 E3's ago and now nothing???

Lol... this game took about 9 years to release. It actually took a whole generation. Better late than never i guess.

like others in the comments, this is one of those rare games that stuck with me. The originality, the sound track, the bonding with the animal (especially if you've ever owned a pet before)

Under current Sony leadership, it wouldn’t have even been greenlit.

ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian, will always have a special place in my heart! Wish there will be more games like that.

It should have been. Its a great concept but controlling that creature was a hassle and took away from the enjoyment of the story. So much focus on getting it to do what you need it to do. Couldn't even finish it unfortunately and I bought the digital and collectors editions.

It seems like they had a bunch of names in a hat, chose a few, and called them underrated. I don't get it.

Both of those Infamous games are definitely fun, just too short.

In 10 years, you'll probably call God of War Ragnarok underrated because it wasn't discussed 24/7.
