the biggest psp games arent god of wars. They are monster hunter games which started life on the ps2, which also like pokemon share rpg elements.

also metal gear has its own games on the psp.

There are really no difference in the games Nintendo puts out on their platforms.

They simply make games established on consoles with a different spin on handhelds. To ignore what star fox, zelda ocarina of time are is blindness.

This is no different than Sly or jet set radio on the vita.

Its simple really. Sony platforms always tend to cost more than the alternative.

Look the vita is a brand new platform and it already has more original ips than the 3DS which has been on the market for over a year. I could be wrong, but i dont see how littledeviants,soundshape,grav ity rush,sumoni, soul sacrafice, and a Slew of others are in anyway console games.

Once vita goes down in price i am sure the sales will start to pick up, because the same case was for the 3DS.

At the end of the day, I suppose it would've been better if Sony had just trickled out games instead of releasing so many at launch since the barren following months gave the illusion that there were no games.

Plus, at least for me, the biggest plus in having console experiences or "gasp", ports of certain games on my Vita is that I can play these games anywhere. I don't have much time to sit in front of my PS3, but thanks to my Vita I can MLB the Show during lunch at work. I'm like five seasons deep into my pitcher's career in RTTS, I never used to get that far into a career in years past because I didn't have enough time. But now I can play my career mode anywhere.

I'll also likely be getting the FFX re-release on my Vita instead of my PS3 as well, since I love being able to play RPGs anywhere, which is another reason why I loved my PSP. Hopefully the rumored Kingdom Hearts HD remakes are true as well, since I'll likely pick it up for my Vita instead of my PS3 as well.

But let's face it, the biggest reason why the Vita getting bashed is that it's a Sony product. There's no way around that.

What a shame, some people can´t see this is the greatest gaming-handheld ever made.
We already got "exclusive content that is available nowhere else" with Gravity Rush, and more is on the way.

People are bashing the Vita because it has no games, just like they were bashing the 3DS when it had no games.

Also, I'm fearing that all of the Vita's best games will be ported to the PS3/PS4, since a lot of them use they exact same template as console games.
All of the PSP's best titles are got ported to the PS2/PS3.
This is less of a problem with the 3DS/DS where games use more platform specific concepts and are so technically different from home games that they would be difficult to port (although with the 3DS' near PS2 power we are starting to see some suspiciously port-ready games like Resident Evil Revelations).

People shouldn't forget that in Western markets, a lot of people who buy portable consoles actually rarely use them on the go.
So why buy a Vita if there are no games and the few that are there could be ported soon after to a system I already own?

agreed.. i dont want toned down ports either. gravity rush seems to be the only high profile new IP on it & it definitely needs more.. Hopefully E3 will show more on it & maybe we can get Soul Sacrifice localized real soon

Im waiting for a price drop and a few more games...

More features to get added the Vita unit too would be welcome...

99% of the people who DO own it talk of how much they love it and dont regret buying it. I am one of those people.

I havent touched my ps3 since feb. 15th; thats a feat in itself. The psp never did. It just sat there and collected dust, just like my ps3 has been doing since the vita came out.

I love my vita, and its what ive been waiting for in a handheld for a long time.
Im sure many others feel the same.

Something people fail to see is that the Vita has several free games on the PSN for download. Everyone brings up the free stuff on 3DS, but forget it on Vita. So weird...

I remember the times the 3DS had no games except pilotwings? And ffs i had a 3ds at launch...
Then we got a remake of the best zelda ever ( however, it is still a remake)

Now everyone is bashing the vita because it has ports or remakes / sequals... I people who not have a vita are jealous. I was also jealous when i was around the age of 15 when i had no money. I work full time and just finished my study. No i can buy every console and i am not a kid in a basement who cant afford a focking console.
