The idea of participating with thousands of other players and becoming part of a tangible, reactive virtual world is an exciting prospect for my inner nerd. Unfortunately, they often fall short at the tangible and reactive part, with many recent MMO’s repeatable quests and boring, ridged dungeon grinds ruining the illusion that one is participating in a glorious fantasy epic spanning a persistent land. Despite this, one contender is attempting to deliver on this tangible, reactive virtual world that I and so many other MMO fans crave. And from what I’ve seen of it so far, Guild Wars 2 is succeeding in this endeavour.

I played it a little years ago. It was fun but I had children after I started playing and gave it up so my wife wouldn’t hate me. I got to 50 and then hung it up
Arenanet is doing smthn wrong with marketing, I never once seen an ad for a gw2 expansion and always hear it like this once an expac is already released. Not that I would play it cause I'm a gw1 purist haha
