I have not read anywhere that the scans being shown are in game...this is Sony we are talking about so I will wait until I see the thing running.

If you have played gears you will know that the cut scenes use the in game engine, but! in a lot of the cases there is soft focus and much more going on and it looks as good as the Resistance 2 scans that I have seen.

The Cell processor may be good but there are still memory issues with the PS3, if any game comes out on the PS3 that looks as good as the Crysis engine then I am sold but so far there are just distant exclusives fueled by Sony hype.

If I am proven wrong I will be the 1st to admit it.

Damn noobs, Resistance 1 was one of the best FPS ever. It so much fun if you play further than the first couple levels (wich werent very spectaculair, but still fun imo.)Resistance 1 is great because of the challenge, the enemies are very tough so you have too put a good use for your weapons in each situation. The game never went frustrating, because when i died i didnt played with the right stragegy for my waepons. The story, graphics and sound where also top notch for a launchgame. The only thing wich i missed where epic moment like in HL2 but thats all.

Also coop superhuman is in some situations amazing, there is this part where you are in front of two bridges and ammos lies every where.. then alot alot of enemies come to you (in this diffuculty and coop means=alot of enemies more than normal) alot of diffrent grenades, a lot of different weapons means ALOT OF FUN!!! Also the enemies i liked very much, this game is just all about fun and hell i had alot of good time with it. Also the skill points and intels are fun too find. The singleplayer was imo better than halo 3 or call of duty 4. ive played it 4 times now, on easy,normal,hard and superhuman, also coop in superhuman. The multiplayer was cool buth after a while you start too realize the waepons could be more balanched but still the multiplayer is great!

and now look at the fact sheet for R2!!! this is maybe gonna be my favo title this year, and that says alot with games like MGS4 and KZ2 coming out this year. The info sounds great, no its sounds AMAZING. Im freaking hype right now! Damn! Better Boss battles, coop with alot of atention, amazing multiplayer, great graphics and even more enmies on screen! Im gonna read the scans now, bye..

crysis visuals are good, but they are not the best, not by a long shot since e3 2007, ps3s killzone 2 impression was so great and superior, crytek pushed crysis back more time, so yes resistance IS realtime, and ps3s "memory issues" dont mean didly, when you have 2.18tflops of processing power, of renderfarms on the machine, pcs cant keep up, with the little gpus that get maxed out so easily, rsx isnt even close to maxing out, not in 2010 even, so get out and leave the crysis hype alone, the visuals are nothing high like pc fans say, thats why the ratings were pitiful, and the sales, you pc fans hyped the visuals higher than they really are, and the "console" ps3 has showed the game up before it even released, thats why people are so desperate for new killzone 2 footage, where was the desperation for crysis footage? NOWHERE so get out

Just became my number one developer. With titles like Resistance and Ratchet & Clank, you just can't get more serious about developing for the PS3 than these guys. Wow!

Can you imagine how much this is gonna sell? Everyone in America is gonna get this. When it hits it's gonna be all over American news. Fighting Chimerans while a destroyed statue of liberty act as a backdrop will be insane! Mission 5: Taking back Lady Liberty. Oh man! Marketing this baby would be alot of fun. Sony needs to do this right.

Those things could squash the big robots in Halo 3 and Crysis with one leg. Holy s***!

I really want this game

Every developer could learn something from Insomniac pumping out their 3rd game in pretty much 2 years time.

I believe in one of the scans other then the concept art shown those are in-game shots and even without good quality scans you can see the leap from Resistance 1 to this one.

I can't wait to see how the boss battles turn out and what crazy weapons they'll have this time.

I mean WHOA! Im' kinda glad i skipped the COD4 phase in search of UT3 for something different. but those 3 above mentioned games are gonna be something great.

I wont even factor in all the other stuff this year. But FPS alone will be NUTZ!

That looks really amazing though. I wish I had enough dough to afford a PS3, especially for Killzone 2 and God of War 3 and now this. I was one of the few who actually enjoyed Killzone on the PS2.

Resistance 3 was such a FREAKING good game. It was a shame that the market was flooded with quality stuff at that time, because I'm pretty sure it was overlooked by MANY (plus, I was in gaming retail at the time, so I KNOW it was overlooked by many).

I only played 1 and 2. I preferred 2. I thought the campaign was great, although it did have too much influence from COD. The online was a lot of fun, especially the 8-player coop campaign.

That series deserves a remaster collection, as does Warhawk.

Tough choice here. I only played the 3 main titles but I loved them all very much and for different reason. I definitely played 1 more than the other ones, but that was because early PS3 life cycle there wasn't much else I was interested in besides MotorStorm.

2 had the really interesting, ahead of its time co-op (if it had been on 360 it would be constantly talked about still, but games journalists really didn't acknowledge multiplayer games on PS3 and really only acknowledged single player games from Naughty Dog). But the campaign in 2 was just bad. It clearly suffered from trying to be more like the games coming out around it (mostly COD) rather than embracing the spirit of more classic FPS games like 1 and 3 did so well.

3. Resistance 2
4. Resistance: Burning Skies (good Vita shooter actually)

All good games but Resistance 3 has the best weapons, the most polish, 3D TV support, and a great ending to the series.

Fall of Man still holds a special place in my heart, but 2 and 3 were still very good. I miss those games.

Great trilogy. Loved the second game the most with its colorful graphics and the setting. Wish Insomniac would either make a trilogy remaster for PS5 or a new game in the series.

For me, 3, 1, 2. Never played the portable one, but I always used to hear about how good it was.

R:Fom, R2, then the its not even a sequel so I don't know why its called R3...

Are people saying R3 CoD fans? Cuz mp completely abandoned its roots, it was a terrible CoD wannabe.. Story was an abomination as well, stupid ending too....

R2 story was great, loved the live action stuff pre release. gameplay for it was a complete step back, the first one I felt like I was a part of the war, R2 you may as well have not had allies cuz every enemy was only focused on you. AMAZING ahead of its time Coop saved this game. MP was kinda meh, also a step backwards, gameplay changes for it were handled poorly.

R:FOM had some unpolished unfinished rough edges. You could definitely tell it was rushed. But story premise was freaking amazing, and playing with a buddy and stuff going on all over the place, I really felt a part of a war. Best MP in the series hands down, really inventive and different from everything else out there at that time and really to this day honestly.

I would love to have a new entry in this series!

I loved this game.

Resistance 2 was the best complete package for a shooter, along with Modern Warfare 2. Even though some people disliked the single player, as an action game I'd say it was better than any of the Call of Duty campaigns, which used to be pretty great.

Resistance: Fall of Man was one of my first online gaming experiences and one of my favourites, 40 players on the Manchester Cathedral map was so much fun. I would love this series to come back, even if it was a collection it deserves more than being stranded on PS3.

I loved the resistance games and it would probably be a factor in getting me to go search for a ps5 if they ever made a sequel

Resistance was the reason i bought a PS3. I wish they didn't end it early in 3. From what i understand they were supposed to keep it going and we would have gotten to see the chimera planet and the pure chimera but Insomniac said they got bored of making the same type of game so they gave it the ending in 3 so they could move on.

Remakes, Remasters, Reboot, sequels.....I’ll take anything, just anything they wanna throw at us fans of the series. Too good a franchise to lie dormant while the technical enhancements of the PS5 are ripe and ready to make our eyes bleed, with an in-house Insomniac pushing the boundaries.

I didn't like them at all
