Sony Online Entertainment has announced a new first-person shooter title with Bullet Run, which is planned to be a free-to-play online PC game.

From GamesReviews
"Bullet Run might not have been the biggest free-to-play shooter on the market, but it's not good news that it's closing. Its TV show style was utterly unique, and it was one of the better examples of the genre in the F2P market. If you never played it, you're now probably too late. It closes, for good, tomorrow at 12PM PST. Sony have just sent out a new message reminding everybody to get their last games in over the next fourteen or so hours, and that players may want to try out Planetside 2 as an alternative."
This is a little dated now, of course. You've got about eight hours if you want to try it out/go back to it.
DigitalNoob's Mike Fugate writes:
"We skipped a week because we were lazy in Mongolia. We’re trying out a shorter format this week because we are lazy lazy.
On this week’s episode:
Steam Linux is out of beta
Just Cause 3?
Bulletrun is a failure
John Carmack’s inspirational words
System Shock 2 on GOG
Other stuff. . . . . . . . . . "
In this episode TERA Rising finally goes free-to-play, SOE shuts down the online FPS Bullet Run and Outspark closes its doors and moves Fiesta Online to Gamigo. The First Look is dedicated to TERA Rising, the stunning action MMORPG. In Face Off, Vindictus and Continent of the Ninth Seal battle for supremacy. The Most Wanted game of the week is Grimlands, a post-apocalyptic MMORPG that seems set to please Fallen Earth and Fallout fans.
More shooters...fantastic.
HM... at least sony is announcing a variety of games plus its a free to play.
U cannot beat free.
Nice one Sony
Is this PC only or is it PS3 too? And if it is on both, will it allow cross play?
Extreme!
The logo + game show theme makes it sorta like Xgames event.
