lol no it wont. A console game wont revitalize a handheld system. Especially when they are both different audiences. COD players only want COD, they'll be spending their money on COD:BO2 for Ps3 or Xbox 360

Biggest issue is Activison won't allow anything to cut Microsofts throat. So in of that make of it what you will. I can name a few other companys that this would not have been an issue with.

I'm worried about this. I want it to be badass but not being able to use the L3 or R3 buttons might kill it.

Call of Duty will hopefully be a system seller. The Vita needs much more games and support. Via 3rd parties and 1st parties.

btw...you can buy a PS Vita in Germany for 150€ incl. VAT. That's probably 180-190 Dollars...

Port or not, a COD title for the Vita would do incredibly well. It would be a money printer for both Sony and Activision.

Call of dooty won't sell the vita because you can play it on a console. Vita needs games that are vita only and are unique.

It would be awesome if it wasnt a port for the vita (irregardless of cross play), but sadly we know how activision works.

However you can bet your money it will be a close console port having all the good stuff on the vita as on the console.

Why would someone choose this version of the game over the console versions? Vita needs games that are Vita's alone, and not seen as competing with PS3 games. Or Jr. console games.

It will be a port with no cross platform play. Why would Activision make a new CoD on a system that not selling?

The Xbox division has not listened to the customer since the 360 days. Ever since Kinect, Microsoft has been about selling us what they want and trying to tell us it’s what we want rather than actually selling us what we are asking for.

Microsoft does have a history of running things into the ground simply because they don't innovate or give products breathing space. I fully expect in the long term they will manage the same with Call of Duty and will kill it, just as they killed Halo and Forza and many other IP's over the years. This also extends to things like windows phones and such. They just were not competitive and did not listen to consumers.

If they're going to do stuff like MW3 and BLOPS 7, at least make the campaign split-screen co-op. The way the maps are structured there's no reason not to, and it just adds value to a game that's short on it as it is.

Call of Duty can die only by killing itself. This can happen to any franchise and happened to Medal of Honor which ironically was created by the original team that made Call of Duty.
