Shifting

This one is alot more fun to play. At least you get to play a person who can alter time and space for your own purposes. It's really just another war game but this time it has a much better story line than Haze. At least this didn't seemed patched together at the last moment.

This doesn't falter in any kind. It stays true most of the time and at least if you screw up, you can replay certian areas again and not get bored to tears.

Your mission is basically the same in haze to stop a madman at all costs. At least it's a bit more loosely based and if you get caught in a crossfire, you can retreat to a safer area. I did and it helps, at least it didn't play like Halo at all.

The only draw back about it is when you encounter others who have the same ability. They move slightly faster than you, my trick was to lure them into a corner and just unload everything you got. It's a great shooting games, well I found it great.

At least your shooting at other humans who have a reason to take you on and it seems you do have to oppose those that seek to kill you.

Don't get me wrong about it, with a wonderful story in place. It does get a bit much on the war since it can be over done.

This is unlike halo in so many ways, at least you get to be alone for some time except with a group of people that can get in your way.
I always find that the charaters get in your line of fire. It might be a game flaw in most of them, but in general it's on the right track of being a good franchise. Not great just good enough to know it is worth it.

At least I didn't fall asleep playing this one. Sorry this is short, as for online I can't tell you since I don't play online games. I guess I should try one day.

lol wow, you wrote 'at least' 8 times. The review sounded like you were comparing the game more than actually reviewing it. Good job though.

I'm confused. You wrote a great review for the game and stated you had fun and enjoyed it but gave it a mediocre rating. I think initial review from gaming sites influenced you more than you realized.

I think some people will give games they loved a low score so as not to want people to feel like they don't know what a good or bad game is. Your write up of the game seemed like it's an 8 type game but you slammed a 6 on it, lol

I'll have to play this game to see for myself. I've only played the demo and thought the graphical look was great. Nowhere near a 6 IMO.

TimeShift - FPS Game Standing the Test of Time

TimeShift had a fairly muted launch in 2007, and while it doesn't rewrite the FPS rulebook it does offer an enjoyable campaign even now.

Never heard of this game until someone mentioned it here last year. Played it and it basically represents most games from the PS3/Xbox360 era—good graphics, amazing physics, and extremely fun gameplay (time powers rock), but barely any story, weird pacing, and at least one annoying AF level. I finished Prototype last week and the same applies, except Strike Teams. Fuck Strike Teams.

This game actually works on a decent phone using Winlator 6.1, amazing times.

9 Video Games With Time Manipulation You Need to Play

MenStuff: "Bullet-time and the control of time in general have become a staples of action video games over the past ten years, and a lot of thanks can go to the sci-fi blockbuster, The Matrix. The art of slowing down time in order to act faster, or respond more precisely, has slipped its way into a number of our favourite games, and with Quantum Break releasing this week and embracing this to the fullest, we’re here to pay homage to these time-bending experiences."

Singularity man...dear god that was one of my top First person shooters last gen.

Only FPS at the time of CODs popularity which did something different

We need a sequel.

God of War Ascension. Very well designed and challenging puzzles that used time manipulation.

Also Final Fantasy XIII-2
