Runescape......Java game of the moment.

Hello. My username on Runescape is Qc Convict and I will be paying for the game as a premium member soon.

Runescape is a browser based Java Applet. (It runs in your browser) Enough of this techie stuff. Runescape is a great game overall. It suffers hackers, community problems, and way too much grinding. All I do when I log is cut trees over and over again...*cut cut cut*. The game is really addicting, you will come back for more. You can cut trees in F2P such as oaks, trees, willows, yews, and so on. You can have bronze,iron,steel,mithril, and rune armor. You can chat with other people, and work togther to complete tasks. There are many rumours that runescape has hidden porn. (tee hee)Here are things people say about runescape that I have collected off the internet.

Members is the "upgraded" version that you have to pay five bucks a month to get. In exchange you get twice the amount of world, lots of cooler stuff (which is relative, most stuff in this game stinks), even some new skills, among other trinkets. No dedicated RS player doesn't have members, so if you really want to get in this game (even after reading this), subscribe to members for a couple months. You have to pay by credit card or paypal, so those of us with parents that are anal about credit cards, no members for you. I don't have members, so I don't have all of this cool stuff, so I guess I'm bitter.

The community is another aspect of an already amazing game. How boring can it get playing against the computer in some games? How fun is it to play against your friends in multiplayer. Communication between friends is made easy and the community as a whole is a positive for the game. Many people will claim that the majority of the people who play Runescape are incoherent idiots. While there are some people like this, they do not effect the experience at all. Runescape would become very boring if you didn't have anybody to talk to. Also the strategy in fighting other players is limitless. The wilderness is a high risk, high reward area that is basically a free for all between players. Also minigames such as Castlewars(capture the flag) and the duel arena(1 on 1) provide combat opportunities between other players. Other minigames require team cooperation such as Pest Control and Barbarian Assault. The community is the X-factor in Runescape.
