Many times gaming companies attempt to combine many game-play styles into one game. This doesn't usually come out the way they want. Having said that I seriously enjoyed playing Portal 2 not only because it continued the story of the previous game, but because they kept the core game-play and style as they should have. Introducing simple yet complex tools the player can use creates an experience that truly makes you think.
I can see how people who haven't played the game would look at the play time of the game and criticize the pricing but although the game was approximately 6 hours for me my first time through, I felt fulfilled just as I would with any 15 to 20 hour game. If Valve had decided to put more content in I believe it would only have made the game drag.
The co-op was great fun. having four portals to work with really opens up so many cool opportunities, especially with the tools and objects like the light bridge. The experience will differ depending on who your playing with but if you have a good partner you're going to have a good time; when I played we didn't have much trouble, if one of us didn't get it the other usually did. There a very few co-op games I've had more fun with and the separate campaign is good although slightly confusing. (The end through me off.)
One of the only things I was disappointed with was the loading times, not the length but the frequency. I was impressed with the size and detail in many of the test chambers however I was frustrated at the cost of loading times after almost each one.
The other thing that bothered me was Valve's decision to keep Chell mute. I'm not saying she should be talkative or even talk more than once, but even a "Goodbye GLaDOS" would have been crazy at the end. Maybe they'll take it into consideration if Portal 3 is ever made.

Given the medium's wild diversity, this primer of the essential video games everyone should try is a good place to start.
I can't fk with this list. They missed on alot of games probably before the writers times. Also I know people loved some portal but I was never a fan.
Tomb Raider 1
Driver 1
Abe’s Odyssey
FF6
King of Fighters 94
Mortal Kombat OG
LINK 2 the past
Street Fighter 2
Resident Evil 1
Infinite but not the first two games? Witcher 3 but not the first two games?? GTA V but not literally any of the games before it??? Portal 2 but not the first? Also if you're going to play Shadow of The Colossus play the remaster and not the remake. Can't say I disagree with the list but my man it's all over the place.
Awesome list! Hot take on Fear (and it's hard af expansion Persaus Mandate!) Bioshock Infinite is stellar, so is the Witcher 3 and you nailed it by having Ocarina of Time. So many fantastic games! Gotta play 'em all! Next one on my list is Prey after I beat Dead Space 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction.
"September's 2022 Games with Gold lineup includes the Xbox One titles Gods Will Fall and Double Kick Heroes, and through backwards compatibility, the Xbox 360 titles Thrillville and Portal 2. February's lineup provides over $66.96 dollars in value and up to 3000 in gamerscore."
Not a bad month. Thrillville and Portal 2 are fun and Double Kick Heroes looks like a blast.
Considering how expensive portal 2 still is in the store, and how rare the physical copies are these days, I'd say that's a good addition. It's also upgraded to 4K on the X consoles.
Don't know much about the other ones, but it looks like a better month than usual. Which probably says more about how bad it usually is.

Hybrid games that combine multiple genres are becoming more and more common these days but the concept has been around for ages. Here are some of the best hybrid games ever made.
is for the portal gun to make an appearance in episode 3 of half life, can you imagine making a never ending portal for soldiers to fall in ha ha
