Ever since Q Games announced Shooter 2, I was enthralled and ready to conclude the rest of the epic tale that lay before me. I knew there were going to be great additions, but never did I imagine myself controlling my little yellow ship and flying through acidic juice traps, blasting at overly auto-sexually reproducing egg, fly, gnat creatures, and then with much surprise, delving into the depths of dark caverns with only minimal light, allowing hoards of creepy crawlies to get closer to my ship without me noticing.
Shooter 2 has its surprises with new monsters/enemies and new bosses with multiple forms pwning me at every turn, all the while I sweat and meticulously search for survivors and hidden minerals in every level.
Simplistically, Shooter 2 is practically an enhanced version of Shooter, with same graphics and art style, but with so much more to offer. All the levels require puzzle solving and creative use of the dynamic liquids, gases, and solids in order to progress further or to simply acquire hidden minerals and survivors (just like the first game, is a bitch!). The most exciting and difficult aspect of Shooter 2 are the levels that utilize light and darkness. I never read a preview or review of Shooter 2 so this shit caught me off guard and had me scared and simultaneously lionizing Q Games for such a simple, but powerful move in terms of creative game design. All I have to say is, this mess gets serious in the latter levels in which you have to move quickly to not get pincered by ghost enemies that pop out of nowhere and then proceed to bang the shit out of your little ship until it begins to burn and falls to the ground, or when there's limited light and crazy demon eye monsters begin to literally fuck you up and I can go on and on, but all you have to know is that this game gets absurd in terms of difficulty and sheer madness.
In terms of replay value, you most likely will not get a perfect run, meaning, obtaining all survivors and minerals on the first run, so you'll most likely play levels multiple times (I mean, there even is an incentive to do so, but I don't tell because that's a secret obviously, don't you dare proceed to gamefaqs). In addition, there's an online battle mode that allows you to play various game modes in which you have to capture the most minerals and all kinds of interestingly competitive aspects, but due to the PSN being hacked by an irresponsible and asinine age group consisting of perhaps mid twenties-or-so- aged men, I haven't really gotten to play online that much. But rest assured, the bit that I did play was quite fun, grant it, I did get my ass kicked.
Anyway, to bring this review to a terse conclusion, Shooter 2 is absolutely wonderful and should bring joy to your heart and even more joy and friendship if you play with a friend. Friends are important, which is obviously germane to the conversation. Moreover, High Frequency Bandwidth orchestrated the OST for Shooter 2 as well and it's quite amazing. Lots of popping beats, gets the party started right? I'm being an ass right now, but in the most curtail and succinct way, if you've played Shooter and had fun, then you'll have a lot more fun with Shooter 2!! :)

Each week Sony brings PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Portable owners new content, add-ons, games and more.

Jake from PC Gaming Enthusiast reviews the former PlayStation exclusive.
He writes:
"The ultimate edition received a major overhaul, which includes graphics. The overall artist effort truly shines on the PC. The water in each level looks like it is actually flowing, with perfectly precise physics, and subtle depth."

It’s pretty common for the “older” generations to be dissatisfied with how times have changed and to be nostalgic for “back in the day”. I try not to think of myself as old, or dissatisfied, for that matter, with what today’s gaming industry has to offer… but I can’t help but feel like somewhere along the way, we damaged what used to be such a pure form of entertainment.
I agree SaveFerris! I still feel very privileged that I was growing up in that time and I got to experience it all first hand. It was a magical time.
Yeah, back in the 90s every video game was like a little wonder to me, those were good times to be a kid. I still have my Famicom, SNES and Genesis and play them time to time using flash cartridges, cuz I don't have any games left. xD
damn!!! get that shit fixed now! but then again, even with that, PSN is still down. (T_T)
