PixelJunk has released three games so far; PixelJunk Racers, PixelJunk Monsters, and now the newest PixelJunk Eden. Each adding it's own charm to a genre of video game.
PixelJunk Eden is a simple yet detailed platformer. Following in the footsteps of LocoRoco and Patapon, PixelJunk Eden has crisp visuals that are easy on the eyes. The animations are smooth and trippy.
You play as a "Grimp" collecting spectra. The main garden(Your "Eden" I guess) is used as a hub to access gardens which are located throughout the eden most in high places you can't reach at first, each containing hidden spectra. As you collect more and more spectra, plants start growing in your Eden allowing you to access to gardens you couldn't reach before.
The game play is simple yet complex. Basic platforming, you jump on plants and stick to them. You can then use your "thread" to swing from the plants and get to otherwise unreachable places using this technique. As you start in a garden you have a limited amount of time(shown as a gauge on the bottom) to collect a certain amount of spectra(usually in a high place). This gauge can be extended with various items floating in the garden. To grow more plants to climb on, you have to collect pollen. The pollen automatically goes to the nearest plant to collect in, once a plant has filled with pollen, you then jump on it with your Grimp and a new plant sprouts for use.
The game doesn't change up the location of the spectra for each garden, so it can be quite repetitive to complete a garden. This is where multiplayer comes in(up to 3 people at once). You can team up with other grimps to access hard to obtain spectra. This would require a bit of cooperation though.
The music for PixelJunk Eden suits its look and sets the feeling of each garden. Once you complete the game, you are able to create a custom soundtrack for the game. PixelJunk Eden supports trophies, though there are no gold trophies.
This game isn't for everyone, but it's a refreshing take on platforming. Worth buying if you plan on playing with friends.

Each week Sony brings PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Portable owners new content, add-ons, games and more.

indiePub has published its weekly update of new and notable indie games on the Playstation Store Indie Games Channel.
Best bets this week include: Pixel Junk Eden, where you explore a gorgeous world; Do Not Fall, an intense action/platformer; Farming Simulator, where you must grow and maintain crops; Total Recoil, a fun, explosive arcade shooter; Kung Fu Rabbit, where you must save your disciples with your combat prowess, and Men’s Room Mayhem, where you become the janitor of a men’s room.

Well if you are had the pleasure of owning a PS3 on release and are a regular purchaser from the PSN then you will already have most of the game titles from PixelJunk. Seen as the developer Q-Games have been producing games for the PSN since the PS3′s launch in 2007.
If you have managed to oversee these fab games and are also a PS Plus holder then you are in luck. As the games have been released from 79p.
I want them to release a sequel or an addon for PixelJunk Monsters. My favorite game by them.
"Countdown gauge ruins the easygoing feeling of the game"
I agree fully.
I have to take issue with you listed Negatives.
A PSN title can only have so many trophy points - if they have a Gold trophy they can't have very many trophies. Clearly the developer thought it would be fun to have more trophies so a lot of them have to be bronze. I can agree that getting even some of the bronze trophies in Eden is very difficult - especially when you compare to Uncharted.
If there was not timer in the game it would be too easy. As it is I think the difficulty curve is too severe, but if they eliminated the timer entirely there wouldn't even be one. I think a longer timer and/or making it easier to fill would suffice.
