When I first saw the trailers of NFS:HP, the first thing that came to my mind was the old NFS Games, like Hot Pursuit and High Stakes. So, when the game released, I bought it due to nostalgic value.
The first difference that I noted between this and the other NFS titles like Carbon and Underground is that you can't tune your car. And that's the beauty of this game: No Story! Just pick an exotic car, go on the highways causing havoc and escaping from the police.
But you don't play only as the bad dude. You can play as the police too! This lets you experience the races form both sides, racer and cop. The variety of cars impressed me. The cars range from street cars to top exotics, like the Bugatti Veyron.
The game has many kinds of "missions" If you are playing with the racer, you can do races, time trials, hot pursuits, and preview faster cars. If you are playing with the police, you can do Interceptor missions, which consists in you vs a single (but tough) car. Rapid Response (it's the same thing as Time Trial, but you can't crash your car or you will be penalized), and chases.
No matter if you are playing with the police or with the racers, your car will have some "special powers" Some of the are: Turbo (Who gives a serious speed boost), Jammer (jams the police tech), spike strips, helicopters, road blocks, etc. When you progress in the races, these powers will upgrade.
(I'm sorry, I never wrote a review before and I don't speak English very well; I'm Brazilian. I hope everyone enjoys my review!)

After nearly three decades of NFS games, here's a list of the best Need For Speed titles that have ever been released in the past years, ranked by The Nerd Stash.
Best NFS in my personal opinion
Highstakes, Hotpursuit 2 and Underground, Mostwanted, The Run.
Rest of those titles are Junk,Crap, disappointing.

Paul writes - "EA know a good thing when they see it, and for multiple years November was Need for Speed month. In a break from the usual routine, I'm going to be looking back at two games here, released in 2005 and 2010 respectively. The earlier game is Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which has the distinction of being one of the very best in the franchise. The second game comes from 2010, and is Need for Speed Hot Pursuit; which I'll talk about just as the Remastered version of the game has hit the stores."
I completely adore this game! In fact its probably my favorite racing game. I recently dusted off my xbox 360 to play Most Wanted 2005. Still a great game, though I do not remember there being such horrible performance. Like massive frame-pacing issues. screen tearing, latency. If any game ever truly needed to be remastered, it this one for sure!

A pulled retailer page previously listed a November release date.
I would be excited but NFS is basically dead in the water at this point, a shell of its former self.
Hey, if it's alright with you, I'll edit your review to have better English.
Look below.
THIS ONLY REVIEWS THE SINGLE PLAYER, SORRY.

Graphics - Amazing graphics. The environment is beautiful, the cars are very detailed, but again, they only have minor damage models like scratches.
Sound - The sound is great, especially when you choose your car and hear the engine starting. I can feel my desk vibrating when I put the sound to the max. It's VERY impressive.
Gameplay - Many people can find the gameplay strange. Basically you drift in every corner. As a racer you win nitrous by driving aggressively, as a cop you win nitrous by driving fast and doing takedowns. The cars handling can be strange sometimes, but, like the tile says, Arcade Madness!
Fun Factor - The game starts out very fun, but when you play for a couple of hours, it may become boring. But running from the police is never boring, huh?

There ya go, man. Heh, who says reviewers only care about themselves? Anyway, I hope you liked reviewing it as I did editing it (I know, it sounds stupid. I kinda like to do it, though).
Too many drifts ???
