User Review : Light Fall

A True Indie Gem

Hi gamers and welcome to another review. Today we are reviewing Light Fall on the PC. The game takes place in Numbra which is a beautiful world crafted by Bishop games. You will explore to uncover your mysterious past and save the land from an imminent threat. In this land of eternal night, you will rely on your Shadow Core to brave the many challenges and foes standing in your way. Light Fall is a side-scroller in which you have to over come obstacles and puzzles to reach the end of the level. You have multiple skills to help reach your goal like summing platforms to reach areas and you can also use special ability to knock down walls blocking your way. I am a big fan of the look of this game it as got that Limbo style look and the music is something else, I was really enjoying listening through my headphones. I would highly recommend you give this ago. Light fall is out now on PC (Steam) and Nintendo switch.

Gameplay:

I have played a big chunk of the game with a controller and may I say that the game is perfect with a controller. I had no problem getting around the levels and the gameplay was so smooth and easy to understand and you knew what to do all the time.

Graphics:

Bishop Games have created such a beautiful game. The game will be a perfect fit for the Nintendo switch playing on a smaller screen. The graphics really remind me of another side-scroller which is limbo. I cant wait for people to get their hands on it and see it for themselves.

Sound:

I was playing the game with headphones and Bishop Games have done a really good job on the audio of the game. The music really set’s the mood right from the beginning. Sometimes I would pause the game just to listen to the music.

Conclusion:

Bishop Games as done a great job on light fall and I really enjoyed my time playing through the game. We have seen games like fall light being very successful this generation and I am hoping the light fall gets the same success because that would be very deserving to Bishop games on what they are created here.

Rating: 9 out of 10 (Excellent)

Light Fall review - ChristCenteredGamer

Light Fall's premise is simple: You're a small boy who seems to have lost his memory. This world around you is shrouded in darkness. The world, called Numbra, is hidden in a darkness that only the stars pierce. Light Fall's gameplay seems to take influence from Donkey Kong Country and Super Meat Boy, but puts its own original spin on it. It also has some basic rules. There's physics, no fall damage, the ability to jump and bounce up or off walls. However, Light Fall is unique in its implementation of its original feature: The ability to instantly call a sort of ground under your character.

Review - Light Fall (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Kyle Nicol: "Overall, Light Fall is a great platformer that doesn't reach its full potential. Maybe if the game was just a bit longer and had a more interesting world, as well as a better story, it could have been something special."

Light Fall Review: Shadow Core Jutsu| Gaming Purists

Light Fall is a great game with a twist in an overcrowded and saturated genre. What it lacks in level design, it sort of makes up for that through the introduction of a new mechanic. The future prospect seems good though, if the developers plan on building upon this concept and tightening the structure.
