With the 4 months release of the most anticipated and quite possibility the most hyped out of the franchise Halo Reach, I though maybe we should go back our root and take a look at the game that started it all. This review will give a brief history of the Halo and will cover both single-player and multiplayer aspects of the PC version.
History:
What started out as an RTS changed and evolved into a first person shooter that was planned to be released on the Windows and Macintosh platform. But in 2000, Microsoft bought the company along with the game. And what was originally for the Windows and Mac soon became an exclusive for upcoming gaming console, the Xbox. Halo received mixed criticism during the E3 presentation but despite negative press, Halo became the best selling xbox game and one of the most memorable games to date.
Single-Player:
First person shooters generally needs multiplayer to be a complete game but the single player itself is strong enough to be its own game and I am not an exaggerating. Bungie did an excellent job at immersing the player into the Halo world they have crafted with much care.
The story revolves around none than than the green man himself Master Chief. He is awaken from cryogenic sleep to defend the attack against the Pillar of Autumn by the Covenant. He soon escapes sinking warship and lands on these unknown gigantic circular objects only to discover its true purpose and the Covenant intentions. Traveling from the giant rings of Halo to invading a convenient ship the story will grab hold the player will refuse to let go. The transition between story and the environments are seamless.
Mutiplayer:
What has to the most important aspect of any FPS is of course the multiplayer and Halo has to be the most fun and addictive multiplayer I've ever played. It was first to feature the rechargeable shield that is now plaguing pretty much any game with a gun. The shields compliments the style of gameplay. Weapons in the game are very balanced and intuitive. Each weapon in the game has its own use and purpose. Even the plasma pistol (the default gun in slayer) can be of value. But the balance in gameplay and weapons is not why halo deserves an almost perfect score in online but rather the mods. Gearbox released a free expansion called Halo Custom Edition, giving the the ability to play user generated content. Gamers now have the freedom to create anything their mind desires like new weapons, vehicle, and even completely different maps. There so many creative maps made by talented individuals that its impossible to name them all in this review. Search for "Halo Custom Edition" on youtube and you will see why all the huss and fuse.
Conclusion:
I recommend picking this masterpiece up for the PC. It only costs $20 and there still hundreds of people playing this game right now. It is also recommended that this game needs to be play on least 9400gt and 1gb of ram. Most modern PCs can handle the workload but try playing the trial edition before making the purchase. Also don't forget to download and install Halo Custom Edition.

Halo will make its PS5 debut with a massively modernised remake of the original Xbox game, Combat Evolved.
That’s according to the Halo Leaks account on X (or Twitter), which has accurately outed information about the franchise in the past.
I expect this to be announced pretty soon. Can't wait, this game was awesome. I wonder how of a remake it'll be though, hopefully not a remaster because we already have that lol.
Better reboot than another re-touch (remake after an already remaster) .... but 343/Halo is incompetent now, so .... guess this is best they can do with help of Coalition
So much memories with halo.
The original Xbox was my first console (actually 64 but barely played) and the first game was halo. Me and my brother use to play coop almost everyday.
We eventually traded in for a PS2 because of kingdom hearts lol
I played the first 2 Halo games. That's Bungie's Halo.. I do not know whether 343's Halo is as good as Bungie's.
Either ways Halo is one of Microsoft's big franchises. So many rumours so it's becoming more likely it'll come to PS5

Tashi writes: Back in June we let the community know that we’d be continuing the conversation from last year’s HaloWC and the “A New Dawn” video and sharing more about what we’ve been working on. Like last year we’ll be on the Main Stage to talk about it but this year we’ve also got a “deep dive” panel planned for the Community Stage that you won’t want to miss.
This Halo CE mod allows a new way to play co-op, but probably in the worst possible way.
This looks like cursed halo at its finest, love it. They need to bring mods to consoles.
