Dead Rising 2 is a great game for zombie fanatics or people who just like to kill things. The player takes on the role of Chuck Greene a former motocross champion who is framed for letting loose a shitload of zombies.
The variety in DR2 is much greater than the first. Combining weapons has to be one of the greatest things Capcom could of added in, nothing like bashing a zombie in the head with a baseball bat covered in nails. Weapons range from hand bags to chainsaws so needless to say there is something for everyone.
If you're expecting psychopaths to be easier in this game then you are DEAD wrong, but luckily if you have a friend to play with it will make it only half as hard. Most of them you'll spend 90% of your time trying to avoid being hit by them and the other 10% shooting them with shotguns or LMG's and drinking alot of orange juice.
Graphically it isn't anything special but it's up to par with most games. The only problem I had with from a technical stand point is the framerate will drop a lot, especially when you go outside to the huge horde of zombies. Sometimes you'll see zombies walking in the air or a couple that you killed just standing frozen but not too often.
Adding Co-op in was a great move, it really makes killing huge groups a hell of a lot easier and taking down psychopaths a little bit more fun. Only drawback is if you join someone else's game you only get to save the money and PP you earned, it doesn't keep track of how many zombies you've killed or how far in the story you made it....not to mention you occasionally get dropped out when you go to save.
Terror is Reality is alright but after a few times of playing it you'll most likely be bored with it and will only play if you're hurting for some in-game cash.
Overall if you hated the first Dead Rising I wouldn't even bother picking this one up, but if you're like me and LOVED it then I suggest you run out and pick it up right now.

The Dead Rising series has enjoyed a long and storied history over the years, but which game in the series is best?

Over the last week, Jake has been going back to the Dead Rising 2 Off The Record remaster and has been an absolute blast. When he was 15 he first got his Xbox 360 and Dead Rising with it, it was unlike any other experience. It made him wonder though, what happened to the Dead Rising series.
Interesting timing. This retrospective was released just a few days ago: https://youtu.be/Et-cKSrWuc...
They took away the depth and charm of the game that made it fun and interesting, and made it into a generic zombie killing game.
This was the series the got me to buy an Xbox 360. The first one was so good. It still had horror elements. As it went on it became kind of a parody. Never forget getting Zombie Genecider achievement and then restarting the game to get the Mega Buster. That thing was monstrous against enemies.

Some video game weapons are so outlandish they could never realistically be used, and that's why they're on our list of the 10 most impractical weapons in gaming.
