Crysis Wars is the online component to Crysis Warhead. Essentially a tweaked and expanded version of Crysis' online mode, Crysis Wars features many of Crysis' best maps. Featuring again are the original's Power Struggle and Instant Action game modes, while Team Instant Action (think Team Deathmatch) makes its debut.
Crytek have, unfortunately never been the masters of online gameplay, indeed Crysis' online seemed more of an afterthought than a well thought out experience. Power Struggle, a game mode that has received a lot of criticism has been improved, with some tighter maps which result in intensely fought battles, but also some behemoths, which somehow remain intense for the most part.
The maps are all thoroughly enjoyable; particularly the Team/Instant action based ones. Graveyard is a prime example of what Crytek can do when they are on their game. It features a dark and harsh environment, with confined spaces that are ideal for Deathmatch game play.
Thw two largest maps in both IA and PS can get a bit dull if playing on an empty server, which as Crysis Wars' online following is relatively small, can happen quite a lot. However, once full, they are a match for most other games, but don't quite cut it with the online monsters of today.
As I stated earlier, Power Struggle has often been referred to as 'too complicated for its own good'. But while it does offer a less focused game play style than games like Call of Duty or Killzone 2, it is a good attempt at doing something truly different, which neither of those two games can claim too have done for a long while.
Of course, everyone gets the good old nanosuit, which offers all the versatility of Warheads suit, albeit tweaked for a slightly different experience. Now those who have played Crysis Wars will know that the nanosuit can be exploited to lag the hell out of your opponents by strafing side to side, jumping randomly and so on, making it near impossible to hit an opponent unless you have mastered this yourself. Admittedly, I haven't, unfortunately meaning that going online often results in being owned, even though I consider myself to be a good player.
Those who have mastered this technique tend to claim that its good and that everyone can do it, however I disagree. It is a massive issue that needs to e fixed if Crysis 2 is going to have any online following. As it stands, newcomers to Wars will be instantly put off by this exploitation, meaning that the online community continues to diminish.
If this issue was not present, then the online would be amongst the most fun I have ever experienced. Knowing how to use your nanosuit dynamically is essential, and having a detailed knowledge of where the best spots to hide and ambush enemies from on each map is just as helpful.
The graphics remain incredibly good, although having a good frame rate is more important than it is in the single player mode, meaning that most people will have to turn down the graphics slightly to remain competitive.
The lack of stat tracking once again is annoying and a bit slack on the part of Crytek. Games like the Battlefield series have always had some of the best persistent stat tracking around, and it wouldn't hurt Crytek to take a leaf out of DICE's book. There is reward for long-term play like medals and such, which probably is another reason for the small online following.
In summing up, for fans of the franchise there is enough to get excited about, and you will find this truly a fun experience. However, for those less acclimatised to the Crysis universe, you will likely struggle to find your feet early on. But don't be tempted to give it up, because once you get to know the in's and out's of Crysis Wars, there is a lot of fun to had here. There are some issues and some things that are missing, like stats tracking and rewards, but the good outweighs the bad. Overall, a solid second attempt by Crytek at Multiplayer with a nanosuit, but there is still a long way to go before they will be considered an online genius in the same league Infinity Ward.

Mod developer McKool has announced the release of version 3.0 Crysis mod The Mutant Factor. The mod is available for download on ModDB as a full version for either Crysis or Crysis Wars, or as a patch for those with earlier versions of the mod.

DSOGaming writes: "Although Casus Belli is a First Person Shooter game, it involves some Role Playing games concept that make it unique. A new background with more than 250 new assets (buildings, vehicles, objects, etc.), tens of new maps, music composed by a professional composer and played by a true professional orchestra Half-way between Battlefield and Modern Warfare 2, the absence of Crysis nanosuit, Advance and Secure game mode, classes (assault, medic, recon, sniper etc.), and squads (spawn on the group leader)."
i like this setting building being over taken by nature there is some beauty to it. we need more maps like this in every game.i still want to go to Pripyat.

More like Crysis Maximum DRM Edition. Like hell I'll buy that SecuRom infested garbage. I'd much rather wait until the next Steam sale and buy them there to be honest.
